About us

We Care. We Educate. We Innovate.

For over 30 years, McMaster Family Practice has provided holistic family health care and quality education through the Department of Family Medicine at McMaster University. We have more than 90 health care providers offering a full range of direct primary health care to over 20,000 patients at our clinic. Together with Stonechurch Family Health Centre and the Maternity Centre of Hamilton, we make up the McMaster Family Health Team.

Our purpose

  • Provide quality health care to patients.
  • Train medical clerks and residents in family medicine.
  • Train other future health care providers.
  • Conduct research in the field of family medicine.
  • We are also affiliated with McMaster University’s Faculty of Health Sciences and with Hamilton Health Sciences.

We are located at 100 Main Street West in downtown Hamilton, in the David Braley Health Sciences Centre, which is a LEED Silver designed building that opened in May 2015.
